With a background in Civil and Fire Engineering, Alan has over 18 years in the construction industries of Ireland, UK and New Zealand.

Alan has previously held several senior leadership and Governance roles, most recently leading the post-earthquake rebuild programme for the New Zealand Fire Service as well as its investment into the Christchurch Justice and Emergency Services Precinct.

Alan has a postgraduate qualification in executive management. He also sits on the Board of Sport Canterbury.
