Sudima City Hotel
The building is a 10-Level, 200-Room Hotel constructed in Auckland’s CBD. The building incorporates precast concrete seismic systems and façade with a structural steel gravity system.
The integrated steel and concrete erection methodology minimised temporary works and eliminated exterior scaffolding requirements.
Full shop drawings produced for the structural steel and precast concrete allowed the subcontractor to commence without input from the main contractor.
Retention of the previous building’s basement system avoided significant ground retention works.
Digital scanning and design integration of the existing basement allowed accurate detailing of the new and existing structural integration.
The Temporary works design and erection methodology fully integrated with the base building structural design to eliminate propping and scaffolding, reducing the construction timeframe and cost.
